It is with enormous sadness that we have learned of the death of Sir Henry Brooke on 30th January. Amongst his many roles, Sir Henry was the President of the Slynn Foundation (until 2015) and was integral to the Foundation’s establishment and continued success. His energy, commitment and sheer enthusiasm for the Foundation’s work were boundless and inspirational. The valedictory addresses on his retirement from the Court of Appeal in July 2006 give some indication of what a huge loss he will be, not only to the Foundation but also to all those concerned with justice and fairness.
