In December, the Foundation, in collaboration with the Judicial College and the Tanzanian Institute of Judicial Administration (IJA), delivered its first Training the Trainers course in Tanzania. This was delivered firstly to 20 High Court Judges and then to 25 Magistrates. The topics covered included an introduction to training skills, judicial reasoning, consistency in sentencing and effective case management. We were delighted that the British High Commissioner, Ms Sarah Cooke, took the time to visit the training and presented law books provided by the International Law Books Facility  to the IJA .

A short clip of the High Commissioner and HH Nic Madge speaking about the training can be found here
